How it all works

Enquiry stage

If you've set your wedding date and booked your venue, it's time to enquire with us. Email us, drop us a line, say hello on Facebook or Twitter - we'd love to have a chat!  Contact us here to check our availability.

To get things going, we'll check our availability on your date. If we're free, great.... we can talk through the details of your wedding to build up a picture of your requirements, and provide you with a tailored quote.  Meanwhile we will keep your date pencilled in and keep you informed of any other enquiries, so no need to worry too much.

Booking

To book, we require a deposit paid by bank transfer of £250 which secures the date. We then send you a contract which you can return to us by post, and that's it! Your wedding photographers are booked.

If you'd like to meet us before you make your booking, let us know. Wherever possible, we love to meet up too. Contact us to arrange a meet up.

Engagement shoots and/or planning session

The next step is to book in your engagement shoot, or if you're not having an engagement shoot we like to meet couples for a planning sesson and general chat over drinks. We want to get to know you both so we can take the best and most personal pictures possible at your wedding - and most importantly, make sure you're 100% comfortable with us too. Contact us to arrange an engagement shoot or planning meeting.

If your venue is relatively close to us or we'll be nearby on our travels, we will arrange a recce before your wedding. Ideally we will do this with you or your wedding planner (if you have one). If your venue is a distance away from us, we will visit the venue the day before or arrive early in order to scout locations and make sure we know our way around.

Approaching the Big Day

A month before the wedding, we'll be in touch again asking for location details and schedule of the wedding to be confirmed. We'll also ask you to provide us with a list of key names and a list of photographs you really want that we can use as a guide throughout the day. The remainder of the fee is due at this time too.

On the day of the wedding, Tom will follow the groom whilst Karina will be with the bride up until the ceremony. We then take two different perspectives on the ceremony and the rest of the day as it unfolds.  The main reasons we adopt this approach are to keep a relaxed manner and reduce the impact of our presence (one person tends to have to run around a lot!) and to allow more opportunity for creativity and capturing those little moments that you can't predict. Contact us for more detailed info about our appraoch

A week after the wedding, we offer a sneak preview of 4-5 images that we send to you by email. We can also make personalised Thank You cards, so you can choose one of your taster images for those at this stage too. Whilst this is happening, we are busy processing your images through 5 stages of development. In busy times this process can take up to 7 weeks, so patience is required, but the finished product is so worth it.

Finally, the delivery of your pictures!  We intitally upload your pictures to your own online gallery for you to look at and share with our friends and family. From there, your guests can easily order prints or download images from the gallery (saving you a big admin job!). We also send you a beautifully presented CD and DVD in both low and high resolution. Extra copies can be ordered for family members too. Contact us to chat.

If you have purchased an album package, we then ask you to select the images you would like in your album/s. When you have made your image selection, we can then schedule in time to design it. At that point, we start to design your album, ask for your choice of cover etc, and ask you to approve the design. At this point we send the design to Queensberry (our album makers). Please note the time that it takes to make your album/s is very much reliant on the time of year. Your album/s are then delivered directly to you, and we're sure you'll treasure them always.  Contact us for availability.
